  1. Low limit No limit is all about value. With the king 10 of hearts in the second hand you have to bet for value on the river. Don't be afraid to re open the action. If you get raised you can just bet fold….

  2. With the rate that you win at, about 70%, you should be playing every day. You rarely have two losing sessions in a row. The only reason you're not winning enough to live off is because you're not playing enough sessions. You said you took a break from work. Why not play 5 days per week? One winning session and you could pay a video editor to make all your videos for that week. It would save you a lot of time and give you an opportunity to play and post even more.

  3. I remember the days when I flopped my top pair. Actually was on the right side of a cooler. Was able to double check flopped flushes.

Now, I just feel like a donkey. No longer do my draws come in, and when they do, they are already dominated by the nuts. Gross game, poker is. Lol

  4. Why raise with KJ off in the small blind? You got 4 callers, so it is very likely that you should not have expected to win the pot with this raise. And if you get called, you hand pretty much blows. In some 1-3 games, people will limp a wide range, including hands that have you dominated. You cannot really assume your KJ is the best high card hand out there.
Now you have a bloated pot and barring a miracle flop, you will never be able to stand any sustained heat. Being out of position really wrecks this situation for youi.

  5. Cato, 1st of all, love your content! Keep up the good hard work. I'm wondering, on the 2nd to last hand (the one that you had A♣ & J♥) you said you're scared that your opponent has AK. Why weren't you scared that he has a FLUSH? (you didn't realize that the last flop card, the turn and the river were ♣s? or him having a flush was a not possible and I missed something?)

  6. Again…….you dont bet enough…….you get called by 3-4 people every time…..this is NOT WHAT YOU WANT……. you hit flop, then bet tiny?…..this is NOT WHAT YOU WANT…… bet!!! bigger!!!!

  7. How do you have another "winning" session after posting a losing one? Based on how many hours you play, variance, and playing at the same casino, with mostly the same players, you'll have more losing nights than winning ones. This can't be a true representation of a low stakes poker player. Even if you're better than everyone at the table

  8. Sometimes you have to think… what does this accomplish? Raising A5o into two players to “take the initiative”?!?! When raising we are trying to accomplish two things, to get value or to fold. I get how you say to charge draws but that’s all your doing, your just value owning yourself otherwise and I don’t see why this hand would ever be a raise here in this spot. Also why in the world do you defend 68o on that flop…. you could be drawing dead and all you have is backdoors, your allowed to fold!

  9. 2:15 What the hell is your opponent doing??? I mean this is a whole new level of stupidity. He calls your pre-flop raise with 10-4 off. He then calls your flop bet even though he absolutely whiffed. Then on the turn he checks and you show weakness by checking behind. But then when a blank comes on the river, he checks again. What the hell??? While it's not the smartest strategy, floating the flop to see what your opponent is going to do, does happen. Although usually you're in position when you do it and usually you have a lot of good potential scare cards that could lead to straights or flushes. This guy had crap. Called with his crap. But then just gave up when you showed weakness. If you're going to call in order to total air bluff, when your opponent checks, that's the time to do it.

  10. "Maybe they all have the Ace of hearts" … Man, I know I'm tired when it took me like, half a second to realize that was a joke >_>

I'm breaking my "watch Cato at dinnertime" rule because it's been a couple of days since a new vid. BUT I made some toast to eat while I watch so I'm kind of still keeping to the rules.

Damn man, when that Ace of Hearts came out on the river, I thought you might've had it. I was hoping that the guy was making a semi-bluff with 10H or lower and banking on you having something like JJ without a heart or a 2-pair combo or something. It's kinda funny, often a 4th Heart on a 3 heart board would be bad for the person with 2 hearts in hand, but in this case it got him paid.

Anyway, nice session man. Double your buy-in is a great win! I'd be really interested to see your monthly stats sometime btw, is that something you might be willing to show at some point? No worries if not, just curious.
